According to a story in the Monterey Herald, Tharon Trujillo was at home with his baby sister when she tripped over a rug, and actually fell through the screened portion of a sliding door. Baby sister was uninjured, but the event really had an effect on Tharon, who decided that the family must get a gate that fits into a conventional sliding patio door.

We are so pleased to announce that the Sparkle Effect was successful in their Pepsi Refresh challenge! They made it to the top 10 which means their organization will receive $25,000 in order to expand the program!

Here's a story to inspire.
Cameron Cohen was an 11 year old kid in a hip to toe leg cast. He had a benign bone tumor, and was successfully treated and released from the hospital. But because of the cast, he had a lot of time on his hands and nowhere to go.
