You'd be properly impressed if I told you that 15 year old Shea Gouldd opened her own bakery and made it a stunning success.
Shea has deals in the works with two major companies to co-brand her baked goods, recently just won the Young Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Award given by the National Association of Women Business Owners, and donates good to a local soup kitchen and other carities.

Boy! I must have been asleep at the wheel. Jessica Watson of Australia is more than 170 days into her attempt to sail around the world and I'm just finding out about it!
When she makes it, she will become the youngest person ever to do it solo.
Last year, I blogged about Zac Sunderland who was then the youngest to complete the trip.
He was 16. Jessica is 15.

Last year I had the pleasure of interviewing Emily herself of Emily's Smile Boxes. (You can read the interview here).
Emily provides children in the hospital with some much needed joy. Her smile boxes contain stickers, crayons and notepaper, and many other items that kids can use to stay occupied while they are either waiting for family members or hosipitalized themselves.

Actually my son Casey is on your site. Thank you for recognizing his efforts. I wanted to read about all the others. They are all amazing young people and I enjoyed reading their stories.
